We are searching for an experienced Parts & Accessory Manager who would be highly process oriented, detailed oriented, organized, capable of working well with others, possess strong leadership skills and motivated for success.
- The Parts Manager Candidate would need to be familiar with software typically used in the Automotive industry, used in accounting, dealership management, parts and inventory management (Microsoft Office, R&R, CDK, etc.
).
- The Ideal Parts Manager candidate will have worked in the automotive industry for 5+ years.
You must have strong analytical skills, purchasing experience, common sense and problem solving ability in order to improve the entire purchasing and inventory process.
Order entry, receiving & shipping, Customer service, invoicing and salesmanship are a must.
- The Parts Manager candidate will execute a plan and be measured on creating inventory efficiencies that yield greater profitability and a marked increase in customer satisfaction.
Responsibilities
Serve customers, service department, and branch locations in a very professional manner, keeping their needs in mind and also the companys best interests.
Responsible for the day to day operations and inventory control of the Parts Department
Purchase all parts not in stock.
Review and approve all inventory invoices for payment.
Responsible for all shipping and receiving of parts.
All orders should be binned promptly and accurately.
Contact existing and new customers for the purpose of marketing parts.
Review computer reports (i.
e.
gross profit by line, third bin hit, parts on hand with no bin, parts with negative on hand, and open purchase order).
Take necessary actions.
Implement all policies and procedures as specified in the company manuals
Maintain excellent customer relations
Attain short and long term objectives with good management/planning
Monitor performance standards and measurements
Observe parts personnel in job circumstances and provide the mentoring necessary to develop additional skills, job effectiveness and efficiency to maintain high quality work in the department
Lead all direct reports and provide individuals the mentorship required for them to reach both their corporate and personal goals
Qualifications
Good communication skills
Excellent interpersonal & customer relations skills
Good computer and system knowledge
Associates or Technical Degree and/or experience in a parts department required.
Preferably in the construction equipment, automotive, or agricultural industry
Drivers license
