Assistant Track & Field Coach for Multi-Events The Athletics Department at Milligan University, a member of the NAIA and the Appalachian Athletic Conference, invites resumes for the full-time (year-round) position of Assistant Track & Field Coach for Multi-Events.
Reporting to the Head Coach for Track & Field, this position provides support and assistance to the Track & Field program including training & practice preparation, recruitment, meet preparation, team travel arrangements and transportation, and professional communication with staff and student-athletes.
Successful candidates should have a bachelor’s degree, at least two years of collegiate coaching and recruitment experience, demonstrated coaching experience in the sprint, hurdle, jumping and throws events (including the pole vault) and strength/conditioning, and a commitment to Milligan’s mission as a Christian liberal arts university.
Primary duties and responsibilities would be performed outside on the athletic fields and inside within the athletic complex, and travel would be required.

Employees may join Milligan’s 403(b) Retirement Plan with either Teachers Insurance and Annuity Association (TIAA) or Pension Fund of the Christian Church (PFCC) at any time.
Employee contributions for retirement plans are made through payroll deduction.
The University matches employee contributions up to 7% of gross compensation for employees working more than 1,000 hours a year (excludes students and adjunct faculty).
Employees also receive the benefits of dining in the University’s cafeteria at reduced rates and using the Gilliam Wellness Center and swimming pool.
For Administrative and Staff Employees, the University provides paid time off for Holidays, Vacation Time, and Sick Time.
