The Johnson City Community Health Center, in the College of Nursing’s Office of Practice, is looking to fill a Patient Care Representative position.
As the Patient Care Representative, you will provide clerical support including patient check-in and check-out procedures.
You will also be responsible for:
* Handling of confidential medical records;
* Bookkeeping and other financial transactions;
* Handling money;
* Collecting data and drafting summaries or reports;
* Maintaining filing system;
* Answering phone calls and assisting with phone requests and information;
* Ordering and maintaining office and clinic inventory supplies;
* Data input and calculations;
* Assisting the Practice Administrator and other professional staff with correspondence and record-keeping;
* Facilitating communication between a limited English proficiency patient and the provider and staff;
* Assisting the department with on-the-job training and mentoring of new employees;
* Utilizing online computer systems such as Outlook, and other hospital software; and
* Working with special projects and other related duties as assigned.
