*Job Title:* Patient Mobility Tech (FT) 8a-5p-Johnson City, TN (JCMC) *Job Code:* MSHA000C6W *Location:* JOHNSON CITY MEDICAL CENTER, Johnson City, TN *Position Type:* Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) *Job Definition* *Job Description**SCOPE OF POSITION* The Patient Mobility Technician (PMT) will be responsible for ambulation of patients in the Acute Care setting allowing them to maintain mobility and strength, as well as the potential prevention of adverse side effects associated with immobility.
The PMT will play a critical role in improving patient outcomes and satisfaction with care.
Must enjoy working in a care team and show commitment to assisting patients to get up out of bed.
The PMT will develop and maintain good human relation skills by consistently displaying a respectful, empathetic, and caring attitude towards staff, patients, and families.
The PMT will work closely with nursing and rehab staff to determine appropriate patient mobility caseload and document on the computer based medical record.
The PMT will train closely with rehab staff to learn safe patient mobility techniques and how to use equipment competently.
