Job Title: Respiratory Therapist (PRN) Greeneville, TN Job Code: MSHA00037C Location: GREENEVILLE COMMUNITY EAST, Greeneville, TN Position Type: PRN, As needed (No Schedule) Job Definition Job Description SCOPE OF POSITION This position provides competency in routine and emergency respiratory care to both acute and chronic patients, neonatal, infant, pediatric, adolescence, adult and geriatric.
Staff assignments are based on documented age specific competencies.
This care includes routine cardiopulmonary diagnostics, cardiopulmonary emergency resuscitation, airway management, and ventilator support.
Provides and promotes wellness and education to the patient, staff and community.
Demonstrates a team/multidisciplinary approach to patient care and related services adhering to all regulatory requirements under the direction of a Medical Director.
This approach provides appropriate patient care to assess, treat, support and diagnose patients with cardiopulmonary disorders and documentation of this care, in accordance with policy and procedures.
Registered Respiratory Therapists working in the Tennessee facilities may be required to exercise considerable independent clinical judgment in the respiratory care of patients.
MSHA expects all team members to support the VOS initiative by demonstrating awareness of the VOS system and effectively applying it to his/her work.
Job duties of this position may require access to protected patient information (PHI).
The team member will be accountable for appropriate use of the record and compliance with all confidentiality and security policy and procedures related to use, access, and disclosure of PHI.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP This position reports to the Clinical Supervisor for Respiratory Care.
In the absence of a Clinical Supervisor, this position may be required to temporarily function as a Clinical Supervisor.
(Charge Therapist) EDUCATION EXPERIENCE 1) Minimum requirements: Graduate of AMA approved program for Respiratory Care.
Successfully completed the NBRC Exam for Registered Respiratory Therapist.
Licensed by the appropriate state with blood gas endorsement.

2) Prefer: One year experience as a Registered Respiratory Care Therapist by the National Board for Respiratory Care.
One year college credit.
Critical Care and neonatal experience.
