*Job Title:* Director, Digital Care Clinical Operations (FT) 8a-5p - Johnson City, TN *Job Code:* MSHA000C3M *Location:* BALLAD CORPORATE, Johnson City, TN *Position Type:* Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) *Job Definition* *Job Description**SCOPE OF POSTION* The Director, Digital Care Clinical Operations is a professional nurse who is responsible for the 24/7 clinical command center operations to support patient/family/customer focused, high performance/high commitment care by defining and achieving standards for quality patient care; maintaining regulatory requirements; developing, directing, and evaluating work team & team member performance.
This person applies knowledge of nursing, leadership and management systems of patient care, personnel development, fiscal and clinical command center operations, performance improvement, and program development.
This individual promotes innovation and excellence in clinical, service and team performance.
Demonstrates the use of innovative ideas to increase productivity, increase efficiency, reduce costs, or increase revenue.
This position plans, organizes, directs, and monitors the clinical activities of the department which include system transfer of patients, telemedicine operations, centralized system clinical functions that include bed placement, on-call schedules and various other system, centralized functions that will occur within the 24/7 clinical command center.
The Director, Digital Care Clinical Operations applies advanced clinical knowledge of patient care provision and management systems, personnel development, performance improvement, and clinical program development for centralized clinical operations.
The individual promotes innovation and excellence in clinical, service and team performance.
He/she demonstrates the use of innovative ideas to increase clinical efficiency across the system and to develop positive and proactive team members relations.
This position works to implement and evaluate system that promote clinical effectiveness, efficiency, and safe quality patient care.
This person serves as a clinical subject matter expert in the use of telehealth at Ballad from a clinical perspective and works with the digital care Business Operations director as a dyad to ensure operational and clinical protocols are aligned.
This individual works with the Digital Care Strategy Officer to create a clinical work environment that engages staff in the attainment of department and organizational goals and vision.
The person actively supports continuous improvement in clinical safety, quality, and customer service, through behavior modeling and by provision of work environment conducive to attaining these goals.
This individual identifies and analyzes clinical gaps and expansion opportunities in existing telehealth & centralized clinical programs.
This position ensures all standard work, policies and procedures are documented and followed through clinical best practice.
This position will direct the clinical team in the design of program workflows, metrics, and goals.
This position will assist in the design of clinical implementations of new Digital Care strategies & initiatives.
He/she will act as a resource for troubleshooting and/or problem solving all clinical telemedicine & centralized operations issues.
Assists and reviews the development of clinical education and in-service programs both internally and externally.
The director, digital Care Clinical Operations works with physicians, practice managers, leadership, and other hospital personnel (internal and external) to accomplish best practice clinical standards via telemedicine to maintain buy-in for telemedicine initiatives.
This position directs clinical operations to ensure the highest quality care, provider and patient satisfaction, regulatory compliance, and patient safety.
This role addresses proactively, the issues affecting the clinical work environment.
This position assists in the recruitment and selection of high-quality clinical staff.
He/she develops clinical staff through coaching and mentoring.
The director, Digital Care Clinical Operations ensures high standards of clinical performance by proactively addressing performance issues, including coaching and disciplinary conversations and by feedback provided through the performance appraisal process.
This position collaborates on grant support, and other strategic support as needed to be the clinical subject matter expert.
This person must be self-motivated, strong customer service oriented, clinical experienced and have a team attitude.
