SCOPE OF POSITION
The Outpatient Therapist shall provide direct outpatient or EAP services to patients which may include individual, group, family, and/or marital therapy.
If the Therapist is a Psychological Examiner, they may also perform psychological evaluations, including intellectual, vocational, and personality assessment.
The Therapist will provide therapeutic interventions, which include individual, family, group, and marital therapies & refer when appropriate.
Should the Therapist be a Psychological Examiner, they will also select, administer, & interpret appropriate battery of tests in an efficient manner.
This individual shall conduct self in ethical and professional manner.
The Therapist will continue professional development by participation in professional workshops/seminars.
The Therapist shall recognize boundaries of competence & seeks consultation when needed.
Additionally, the Therapist shall complete admission note, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries on all patients.
The Therapist will perform follow-ups on any attached patients or to any key referral sources when needed.
The Therapist will participate in public speaking and community education opportunities.
In addition, the Therapist will take call on an as needed basis.
The Therapist shall perform other work-related functions as assigned by Director.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE
Master’s degree required or doctrine preferred in psychology, social work, or a mental health related field.
Minimum five years clinical experience in mental health required.
With five years in an employee assistance program.
Must possess excellent verbal and written skills.
Should have thorough working knowledge of professional ethics, standards, and relevant state and federal laws.
Demonstrates understanding of etiology and dynamics of psychopathology, current diagnostic terminology, ability to diagnosis, and psychiatric and psychological treatments from initial evaluations to discharge with appropriate treatment plans for all diagnosis.
Sophistication required in interviewing, report writing, clinical assessment and consultation with clinical staff required.
In the case of a psychologist, have knowledge and experience in test administration, scoring and interpretation.
Valid and active Licensed Masters Social Worker (LMSW), Licensed Psychological Examiner (LPE), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or PHD in appropriate state required
Valid and active Eye Movement Dissension and Reprocessing (EMDR), Substance Abuse Professional (SAP), Mental Health Service Providor (MHSP), Employee Assistance Specialist (EAS-C), Mental Health Service Provider (MHSP), or Crisis Debriefing certification preferred
AHA BLS required
