Director, Clinical Education (FT) 8a-5p - Johnson City, TN Job ID: 004ETO BALLAD CORPORATE Leadership - Clinical Education Full-time (scheduled 72 hrs or more per pay period) Job Description SCOPE OF POSITION The Director, Clinical Education in collaboration with the System Director, Clinical Education, system clinical educators and system leadership contributes to the accomplishment of system-wide goals for Clinical Education.
The Director will assess clinical educational needs and respond to specific system educational needs to coordinate the development and drive successful implementation plan(s) that are outcomes based.
The Director will lead evaluation procedures and establish consistent processes to determine the effectiveness of nursing and clinical education at all Ballad Health facilities in collaboration with system clinical education managers and the clinical operational leadership.
The Director facilitates the oversight and implementation of system wide programming as directed by the System Director (i.
e.
Academic Collaboration, AHA Programing, Onboarding Educators, CNA Programing, Nurse Residency).
The Director will facilitate the implementation of community based health provider education and the coordination of collaborative educational program affiliations with regional health education programs.
This individual will integrate patient care practices into all activities, and promotes the vision, values and philosophy of Ballad Health.
The Director must be able to work independently and as part of a team as a leader or team member.
This individual must interact well with patients, team members, physicians, visitors, vendors, and guests.
The Director will oversee the development of content, programs and professional development pathways consistent with system-wide clinical educational goals.
Using evidence-based practice, benchmarks best practices and proposes appropriate models for facilities in collaboration with facility leaders.
The Director will teach effectively within area of subject.
The Director will assist in development, implementation and evaluation of the outcomes achieved in a system and facility-level strategic clinical educational plan.
The Director will serve on system committees task forces or project teams as determined appropriate to deliver successful educational outcomes.
Oversees the implementation of collaborative on site clinical programs with regional academic health programs at Ballad Health.
REPORTING RELATIONSHIP See table of organization EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Master's degree from an accredited Nursing program.
Experience as manager/supervisor or advanced clinical practice is required.
Three to five years of educational experience designing and delivering training programs.
Excellent leadership abilities, communication skills and interpersonal competence are required.
Valid and active RN licensure in appropriate state Requirements No additional requirements from any stated in the above description.
