* At Donaldson you’ll receive competitive benefits and starting pay of at least $23.
70 an hour, with the opportunity to earn up to $24.
79 an hour after just 3 months.
This is in addition to a $1 hour shift premium.
*JOB DESCRIPTION*: * Assist the Production Supervisor with meeting departmental goals and objectives by ensuring key performance indicators such as safety, quality, delivery, and cost are consistently achieved.
* Distribute and align manpower for production optimization.
* Coordinate material flow to support production goals.
* Troubleshoot machine downtime and production variances.
* Communicate effectively department goals, objects, and challenges to team members, plant leadership, engineers, and production control.
* Train team members on personal protective equipment, procedures, methods, problem solving techniques, prints, machinery, programming, and quality requirements.
* Identify opportunities for lean improvements and implement lean processes.
* Utilize Key Performance Indicators to drive results.
* Verify first piece inspection for untrained team members and spot check first piece inspections for trained team members.
* Verify scrap reports, investigate reasons for scrap, and aid in solutions.
* Perform daily, weekly, and monthly data entry in Oracle.
* Complete first piece inspection forms and other quality checklists as required.
* Investigate near misses and other incidents and complete reports.
* Comply with all OSHA, DOT, HAZMAT and environmental policies and procedures.
* Identify the different resources and needs for the department to reach expected results.
* Assist the team as a whole in achieving department objectives and operating together as an effective team.
* Identify and manage inventory constraints to meet daily goals * Promote 6s and other safety initiatives daily, including STOP CALL WAIT initiative and support safety team.
* Lead by example and occasionally perform team member functions as needed.
* Perform other duties as assigned.

* Reacts to change productively and to handle other tasks as assigned * Fork truck certification is required * Must be able to read and interpret blueprints and routings * Must be computer proficient and able to navigate within Oracle and Excel computer programs * Punctual daily attendance is a key requirement for success in this position Come make a World of Difference!
