MATERIAL HANDLER ASSEMBLY
1st Shift- 7am-3pm
*INTRODUCTION: *This position reports to Assembly Supervisor.
It is solely accountable for the fulfillment of all assigned duties and has authority delegated commensurate with assigned responsibilities.
*MATERIAL HANDLER ASSEMBLY* – Performs duties associated with assembling parts, storage and transporting of parts and organization of parts in the assembly areas.
*AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:* Include, but are not limited to:
a) Assembly of fifth wheels and stationary mounts.
b) Grinding.
c) Locate and transport appropriate parts to specified areas
d) Make sure all labels are visible and in legible condition.
e) Performing daily checks on fork truck and paperwork pertaining to checks.
f) Housekeeping in warehouse area and removal of debris from these areas.
g) Manufacturing waste/excess needs to be placed in appropriate containers.
h) Any additional duties that have not been specifically stated, but which may be assigned, and those that are logically and properly inherent to this position
*REQUIREMENTS:*
a) High School Diploma or GED preferred.
b) Ability to operate scanner to locate and transport appropriate materials to specified assembly areas.
c) Experience with Forklift equipment
d) Ability to obtain JOST International Fork Truck Certification.
e) Prior experience preferred.
f) Ability to gain knowledge of company products.
Comply with quality, environmental, safety and Jost company policies and procedures.
*PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:*
a) Work is generally performed in a production plant 100% of time
b) While performing duties of this job, the employee will regularly; stand, walk, reach, bend, twist and occasionally will be required to stoop, kneel, lift, pull or move objects of 50 pounds or less with or without assistance.
